Well this time my trip was to Brahmaputra Resort the only 3 Star resort in and around Guwahati (Assam), i got to know about this place from my very good friend my big brother i would say "rupam sarma", before traveling to this place he guided me very much as i didn't know much about this place, i started my journey with my mother and my cousin brother..we had a lot of fun there, truly speaking its a amazing place.
It is surrounded by lush greenery all over, well there i took some pictures which i clipped in my blog for you all, Ohh!! i forgot to tell you its about 30kms from Guwahati. So whenever you come to Guwahati do not miss this place.

Assam is blessed with numerous wonderful religious sites. These temples are
not only religiously significant but they also have immense historical value.
Every year thousand of pilgrims visit these temples and seek blessings.
Located amidst a picturesque natural backdrop, the temples are very popular
among the tourists also.
One such popular temple is the DoulGovindaTemple. The Doul Govinda Mandir in Assam is famous for its Holi celebrations in the month of February - March.
The daily activities of the DoulGovindaTemple start early, with the opening of the doors at seven in the morning. The priest bathes the idol and then performs the Archana. The worshipers start coming in from an hour after this, which continues till the end of the day. In between that, the temple remains closed during the afternoon. In the evening the Arati is performed by singing devotional songs.
Situated at the Rajaduar area of North Guwahati, the DoulGovindaTemple is flocked by thousands of people everyday and the crowd reaches its maximum
during the Holi. Lord Krishna is the main deity in the DoulGovindaTemple.
There are a lot of legendary stories surrounding the Assam's DoulGovindaTemple. It is said that Ganga Ram Barua brought the idol from Sandhyasar – a secluded place near Nalbari. The first structure of DoulGovindaTemple was erected more than one hundred and fifty years ago but it was again renovated in 1966. The DoulGovindaTemple we see today is an excellent example of fantastic architectural brilliance.
He was Nara Narayana's commander-in-chief, and he got his name Chilarai because his movement as a general was as fast as a chila (kite).
Chilarai is known to have descended from the powerful founder of the Koch dynasty of Kamatapur, Viswa Simha. His mother, Padmavati, was from the country called Gaur.
This is the place from where "The Battle of Saraighat" was fought in the year 1671 between Mughal empire (led by the Kachwaha king, Raja Ramsingh I) and the Ahom Kingdom (led by Lachit Borphukan), now it has been reformed to "Saraighat War Memorial" with different art forms.
